The Appel Inn was perfect for our wedding. I read the other reviews, and dont understand quite what they are talking about. My husband and I have busy lives, and Laurie was so helpful in coordinating things for us, and making sure that everything remained within our budget. The weather was difficult and forecasted extreme rain the day of our... More

The Appel Inn was such an amazing place to have my wedding. You get everything in one place - outside for photos you have the barn, creek, flowers, trees, land, and deck. Inside for the reception is perfect. The set up is amazing because guests all feel important and no one feels shoved in the back of the room because... More

The place was dirty, the grounds were awful with old cars and in poor condition. Attended a wedding that a friend was getting married. Prior to the wedding the owner Laurie was a real rude and not open to anything. Kept pushing a specific DJ to do the wedding who I guess has since died. he place really needs to... More

Don't bother. Terrible. Old and dirty and that includes the owner! Disgusting store she called a bridal shop that smelled like a Goodwill Store. The grounds were in shambles. The owner (Laurie) kept stating how this will done and that will be done. Really, I don't care. I have my valuable time to come here with my groom. This place... More

This is not an Inn. There are no sleeping rooms. It is a poorly managed piece of land that is badly in need of repair. From the unpaved driveway with all the potholes to the broken mindows and gardens crying for help I would NEVER get married or have any function here. The owner is mean and bossy. She does... More

Owner was rude, disrespectful and difficult. She does not have anywhere for guests to stay. This is not an Inn. The property is run down and badly in need of care. After driving up an unpaved driveway with huge potholes filled with water and dirt. Broken windows and poorly kept grounds I was so disappointed that I wasted my time... More

We decided to "elope" in some way, with only 25 guests including my husband and I. I spoke with Laurie on the phone at first and found her to be very pleasant. We communicated via email and she ALWAYS responded back promptly with all the answers I needed. She went above and beyond, especially with the flowers... When we visited... More

I had my wedding there in 2008. We booked it because the "gathering space" really is beautiful. Laurie, the owner, has very strong opinions. She has many years of experience and is not afraid to tell you this. While she could be rude at times she was generally helpful. The land does need work though. They have many old cars... More

As stated in several reviews, the owner is extremely uptight and not open to ideas or suggestions. She is VERY set in her ways and regardless to the requests she finds a way to negatively and rudley tell you what SHE WILL do and how it will be. We attended another event there recently and the service was terrible with... More

We were fortunate enough to be able to hold both our ceremony and reception at the Appel Inn. After reading some of the sour reviews here, I had to comment on how wonderful a day it was for us, and our guests. The location is unique, fresh, and clean -- it was just what we wanted. Upon booking, the owner... More
