Since 3 years I visit the Odyssey Guesthouse and it is always a pleasure to stay there as may home base for trips in the vicinity of Bergama. If you like a quite and picturesque guesthouse with scenic view at your breakfast on the roof terrace and romantic atmosphere in the evening hours you shall try this own.

This is one pansyon that was actually remarkably easy to find, being only a few blocks off a main street. The room was quiet, clean and perfectly adequate. We love the Odyssey and after an initial visit in 2010 we returned again this year. Ersine is a gracious host..provides paper slippers, a book exchange and there is a terrace with a view overlooking the town and St Johns Church and where we ate breakfast and played Scrabble. Retired from the city center, near the cathedral and the acropolis, a little nice pension... It was clean except for the unpleasant smells in the bathroom. The service was minimalist (perhaps due to the low season), with a self-service breakfast.

We originally had a confirmed reservation at another (unrelated) hotel, but showed up to find it literally boarded up. We sat in the car and checked our guide books for a urgent replacement, and decided on the Odyssey.
