I stayed in the Dedeman Hotel for one night while passing through Diyarbakir. The front desk attendant was very professional and spoke excellent English. We had made reservations for three single rooms, and they only had reservations for two of us. However, they had a room available so it was not a problem (rooms were approxmiately USD80). The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower had great water pressure. There was a TV with a few channels- I think CNN International was the only English language channel

We had a late dinner in the restaurant hotel, and the food was excellent and the waiter was very nice. In the morning there is a very nice buffet breakfast (cereal, eggs, fruit, etc) which I believe was included in the price of the rooms. There is actually a Burger King next to the Dedeman, if you're interested in dining out.
