I must say this cave hotel was definitely original and was more like a museum! Our first thought was wow!! Until we had to carry our heavy luggage up very many stairs, and may I say deep dark stairs!! Our room was at the very top with a great or shall I say fabulous view but I got lost almost...

We stayed in Sofa Hotel in 2007 for the first time. It was February, which is usually off season in Cappadocia. The staff was so well-informed about the area that when the tourist info was closed in Avanos and we were lost without a map, they drew us a map of whole Cappadocia valley and that map accompanied us during...

This hotel has character plus. The rooms are large and full of memorabilia as is the whole hotel. Every nook and cranny is full of interesting bits and peices. The breakfast served had great variety and was very nice. The family that own the hotel are totally customer orientated and make you feel right at home. A great place to...

This was a 'cave' hotel with oodles of character and great service. A real treat. An Avanos was a better town than Goreme as less tourist and more locals.
We loved our two night stay at this hotel and look back on it with fond memoires. We found the older owner quiet but friendly, and he always responded helpfully to any of our requests, including recommending some interesting local places to eat at. There are so many interesting ornaments around that it is a bit like staying in a...

We checked in yesterday with very warm welcome. Room was way above our expectations. Very well re stored individual bedrooms. Our room name is Özkonak. Originality of the decoration is really really nice. Huge bathroom I double and one single bed in the actual room along with separate seating area. There is also a small seating area just by the...

Our room was dirty and poorly maintained. Plaster fell from the ceiling onto the beds and the smell from the bathroom was putrid! The breakfast was average and the service poor. It could be considered quirky but the standard was so low it could not be enjoyed. This was our worst hotel experience in Turkey.
Spent 4 days here. Room not cleaned or replenished with clean towels, soap etc rubbish not removed until the third day. Quaint and Quirky but very very dusty if you can't manage steps forget it!
Found family unaccomodating & unfriendly. 15mins there was 15 mins too long!!!
Only good thing was the location and the breakfast was extremely good!
Worst hotel...
