The hotel is adequate but nothing special. The decor is rather tired and outside needs a paint. The food was Ok - standard fish and vegetables in evening and Turkish breakfast. This hotel was right on the boardwalk, the room was dated but there is also a newer front section. WiFi had great reception. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and a sunroom overlooking the water. The town is cute for an overnight if you are visiting Pergamom, Troy and Galipoli.

Very nice hotel in the center of Canakkale.....everything was very nice and the view was picture perfect. The hotel was still a large place catering to tours, but we found it to be an exceptional hotel and a perfect stay.

We stayed here while on a tour and found it to be an excellent hotel. Both the breakfast and dinner were very good as was the service.

Boring slightly decrepit nondescript Holiday Inn-like hotel in center of waterfront. Views from waterside rooms excellent. Noisy 8th floor live music bar - music permeates throughout the hotel till early am. Food in main restaurant - to be missed; generic, poorly flavored turkish specialties. Staff OK but a bit absent.

it is usually difficult travelling in threes, but akol accommodated us just fine. one bed for each of us and a little room to move around even. breakfast was just okay, but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Room was comfortable, view was wonderful, staff didn't speak much english, but they were very helpful! Very nicely located on the waterfront.

my room had a balcony, looking north towards the coast. Quiet, clean and roomy. Lovely little town (near the excavation site of Troy.) Good restaurant, service and location. Worth a revisit.....
