We shared a twin bed room with mattresses on the floor. Room was a reasonable size and had an en suite bathroom The breakfast was good. Situated in the heart of old town and with many restaurants within walking distance No garden but the breakfast area was pleasant The Wi-Fi did not reach our bedroom. No fridge in room but we could use a communal fridge

It was sweet, clean and most importantly far from city's noise despite of location. Harun - hotel owner was so helpful, friendly and communicative. He helped us to find affordable city tours, recommended best restaurants and must see places. Highly recommended hotel.

We had to cancel our booking as soon as we arrived and booked online another hotel, where we went immediately. The rooms are soooo small and basic! None of the staff speak english except for the owner, mr. Harun. THERE IS NO POOL, although the pictures on booking.com show a pool. When we asked, he said that the pictures were taken from upstairs and the pool is next door, but he will allow us to use it. Allow??? As a favour? We chose the place because it had a pool, among other things. He then tried to show us other properties he had nearby, but available from the next day and another one available in 3 days. So according to him, in a week, we'd move 3 times, in rooms just as small, but with a pool. Not a great deal. At least he was ok to call us a taxi and didn't bother too much about us leaving. He tried to charge us twice though. By cancelling, booking.com charges the 1st night anyway, which is fine. But he wanted to check us in, pay that 1st night and then cancel, which would charge us twice!!! We didn't fall for it and he wasnt pleased. Anyway NOT RECOMMENDED!

I know there are a few positiv comments, but really how is this possible ? The owner is not nice at all, at least there was not a good feeling between him and us. You could see that he was happy when he left ! Don"t know why, we did not complain or ask anything. Anyways, rooms are waaaaaaaay to small, forget it ! The was no hot water the moring we left, I did not bother telling him.... Some of the rooms are nice though, the one with a double bed in a Japanese style, otherwise forget it. We appreciated breakfast and the patio is really nice. It is very well located in the old town, but there are plenty of other places :)

I stayed there couple of nights and I enjoyed: - very very kind and helpful staff - excellent position (in the old city) - clean rooms - good breakfast in cute area - there are even small turtles walking around :-) While the hotel is next to dynamic streets which are full of bars and restaurants , but therefore also get a touch noisy and crowdy in the evenings (I liked that ambiance, but not everybody may enjoy it), the hotel is somehow in small parallel street to it, so once there, you don’t hear anylonger all this noise.

Were lucky to have booked Mavi & Ani in the heart of the Old Town Kaleici. We booked the twin villa with our own private pool which the grandsons thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms were spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, in fact 2 kitchens in the twin villas. It was like home away from home. The villas have dish washers, washing machines, you name it they have it, the only thing missing was a toaster!! Easy walking to a string of restaurants and bars open till late. The manager, Harun, went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The best part is that he is available 24 hours because he lives on the premises. Thanks Harun for a most enjoyable and relaxing couple of days.

This is a lovely Ottoman house in the centre of Kaleici, but in a quiet spot. Harun is almost always available & is knowledgeable & helpful. The easiest way to find it is to put your back to the broken minaret and go 2/3 of the way down the straight street in front of you, which is lined with bars and restaurants. Look back and you should see the minaret behind you. On the left is a little lane which is signed for the hotel. In ten metres it widens and Mavi and Ani is across the road on the left.

The reception/owners are very welcoming and speak good English. The hotel is small but delightful. The room was light and airy with a very good A/C unit that looked new. Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast but with fresh melon, plums, apricots too. It was served in a lovely open court yard. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the old harbour and is in the heart of Kaleici. The staff were very friendly.
