Firstly we had to travel to Monastir airport due to cleaners being on strike at Enfidha, the transer was about 1 and half hours but slept most of it! On first appearance this hotel was by far the best in Hammamet, on arrival we were greeted with a drink and shown our rooms, and given the basic details about the... More

We Picked This Hotel as the Brochure states that the rooms were Air Conditioned, The Bars stayed open until 1am and it had good evening Entertainment. What A Con!! Air Conditioning was Not Working as the Management Did Not want To Put it On! The Bars were Closing between 10.30 and 11.30pm. Staff could not leave fast Enough! And The... More

This was our third time in Tunisia stayed at this hotel in July 2011 for 1 week. We were very disappointed with the RIU standard at this hotel especially being a Palace. We had to move villas on the day of our arrival due to the foul smell of the drains. The food seem to be the same nearly every... More

North African holidays can be dreadful if you get the wrong hotel or location. You won't go wrong if you are a family with young children or a couple in need of a break, or if have an interest in history, especially Roman Antiquity. The hotel was the old Sheraton, rebuilt by Riu/Tui about three years ago but retaining the... More

Just got back from a one week stay at the Riu Palace Hammamet. It was great, having stayed at a Riu hotel before we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. We stayed in a sea view bungalow room, very nice and well worth paying for an up grade if required. Also worth tipping a few waiters, bar staff... More

By far the best holiday and hotel experience I’ve ever had. Ignore the bad reviews!!! A bit of a shaky start on arrival, we had paid and clearly booked a bungalow for 3 people and yet our room was for 2. We were told an extra bed would be sent up, which we had to chase a few hours later... More

We travelled to Tunisia in a group of 12 (4 couples and 4 singles) all over 50. We chose this hotel because we have stayed at other Riu hotels and always found them v good. Not having been to Tunisia before it made sense to choose a hotel that we knew should be of a good standard. We all chose... More

On our arrival around 5 English flights had landed within minutes of each other so there were queues and waits at passport control and baggage carousels. We also had a significant wait on our bus for other passengers caught up in the melee so definitely worth booking a private transfer. On arrival at the Riu Palace it was by far... More
