We stayed at the resort on Labour Day Weekend 2012. Upon registering we asked about smoking rules at the hotel. We were told we couldn't smoke in the room but were allowed to smoke if we went out onto the balcony, which we did faithfully, we did not once smoke in the room. Upon checking out we were charged $150... More

We stayed at Bonnie Castle in January for a winter getaway. I know the place has been let go over the last 15 years, but the new owners have done wonderful things to it so far and they plan on doing alot more. We had a king size room with a jaccuzi tub. The room was clean and had a... More

Last summer after hearing about all the changes occurring @ Bonnie Castle we decided to try it out and were not disappointed Dining was enjoyable, we had a very attentive server, the food was tasty, wine reasonably priced. The view from the dining room onto The River & Boldt castle is spectacular. On another occasion we tried their Sunday brunch,... More

This past weekend I stayed for a special event that was being held in Clayton... The rooms were very paper thin, could literally hear everything going on next room over. I had to purchase a scented plug in to take away the smells. The listing said updates had been done to some rooms, but apparently mine wasn't one of them.... More

My wife and I recently stayed two nights at Bonnie Castle in a basic room with a King bed. The room was clean and basic, but there was an odd smell - sort of like the Skoal Menthol Snuff my grandfather used to use that permeated the room. It wasn't overpowering enough to make us switch rooms but I've never... More

We stayed at Bonnie Castle for a wedding and it indeed is a work in progress. The room was clean and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. While you can certainly see where it was upgraded you can also see there is a lot of work to be done yet. I certainly would say the owners are very hard at... More

We were meeting up with old friends for the weekend and the weather didn't cooperate. After a near perfect summer in the Thousand Islands, we unfortunately got the rain. We still ended up having a wonderful time spending several hours at the Pointe, the Bonnie Castle's casual bar and restaurant formally known as the Rumrunner. Great service, food and drinks.... More

Forget any reviews written before February 2012 - That is when the new owners have taken over and I have been there 4 times since then and the improvements they have done and are going to do are going to make this the best place to stay in Alexandria Bay. There is a new outdoor pool, they are going replacing... More

We went to see the Scintas at the Bonnie Castle on Labour Day, which by the way was a fantastic show, but I want to talk about the Bonnie Castle. I understand the BC is under new ownership and many improvements are being made which is evident, long way to go though. I think that most of the rooms have... More

My husband and I selected Bonnie Castle for our 20 yr. wedding anniversary getaway. The area is beautiful, and the scenery is breathtaking. We basically, paid for "location", and got our money's worth. The view was exceptional, and everything we wanted. The hotel is a work in progress, the new owners have spent quite a bit of money to update... More
