This hotel is needing a facelift the rooms are slightly musty and the bathrooms are very small, you need to step into the shower over the bath, however if you stay in the newer section of the hotel it is much nicer although we did ask to upgrade we where looking at an extra $60 per night !! although I havnt stayed here in many years(5) the 3 times I did I was given excellent service every need met. rooms were nice and clean, neutral decor rooms were being done up while we were there. I would always reccomend this hotel and will be staying here again once I do go back to phuket

Have stayed at the patong merlin 8 times but the first with the family. Great pools for the kids and the breakfast has plenty of variety (great omeletes at the egg station) Close to the beach and shopping but far enough away from the busy nightlife when your with a young family.

Just returned from staying at Patong Merlin, travelled with 4 other families, and we loved it. Starting with the buffet breakfast, their egg station was great, eggs freshly cooked anyway you want.
