4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2012 NEW

This hotel provides great value for money, very affordable and offers the basic necessities. The new building is very clean compared to the other building. Main con was that the shower had no barrier which blocked the water from going everywhere and our balcony had a useful view. However the location is great as a walk out and you're on... More

This hotel is just BASIC!!! The breakfast was very disappointing, not a lot of selection and if you want cheese in your omlete, you have to pay 30 baht extra, if you want pancakes it is an extra 100 baht, have never come across that before. Also there are no tea and coffe making facilities, took me 10 minutes for... More

We stayed here because original deal purchased as 4 star was not available. This hotel is at best 21/2 star. Breakfast was poor with only a few choices and those choices were poor. Spam instead of bacon for omelet. White and wholemeal bread only. 2 cerial choices. Staff were only available to welcome you. Any issues they were unable to... More

Orginally had voucher for Baan Yuree and we were moved to this hotel, we had concerns after reading so many negative comments on trip advisor and we were so relieved after checking in. Visited Baan Yuree and we personally preffered this location as we could easily return to drop shopping or have a swim to cool off. We had a... More

The amata is an ok hotel, but the poms behind the desk will give you all the time in the world & con you into going. For a presentation , which they say is not TIme Share -but it is & it's a big Rip off.if you don't buy it they become very rude, along with the poms on motor... More

Two Pool areas, main pool located as you enter reception , not inviting and very average. The other pool is located on the roof top of the new hotel building... More

The Amata Grand is located a short walk from Bangla Road and the Patong Beach - far enough away so that it's not too noisy and busy but close enough to be able to walk to many places. The hotel is not a 5 star resort but facilities are adequate, new and clean. We were located in a non-view room... More

We stayed at the Amata Resort for 8 days. When we arrived we were allocated a smaller room but they changed us to a larger room at no extra cost after we requested this. We could not have asked for better service and it is very good value. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and most spoke passable... More

Stayed in newer section of the hotel. Our first room had no balcony, no hair dryer and no tea and coffee facilities (as advertised) and the toilet was blocked. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a dining table, very hard. The shower head faced the toilet and wet not only the toilet but the entire bathroom floor. We... More
