We have stayed for 1 night along with the Bridge on the river Kwai and Hellfire pass package. The whole travelling through the river is awesome. We have spend a night without any electricity after many many years. After dark the whole environment become very different. The sound of jungle, river all add to the magic. Next day morning visited... More

We arived at the resort after hiking through Hellfire Pass and viewing the museum and then kayaking down river to the resort. What a wonderful experience. The history of the area is not to be forgotten. The resort is a throwback to earlier times with no electricity available. How quickly we forget. Lighting done with kerosene lanterns.. Still having water... More

We spent 1 night on the Jungle rafts. No electricity but the best time ever. We were woken by elephants just metres from our room - amazing. The food was good considering no electricty was used and the people fantastic. Ths is an experience we will never forget as we travelled along the River Kwai by Longtail boat to our... More

First off, I would like to stress, that the Jungle Rafts are about 60 miles away from the town of Kanchanaburi - about 60 minutes in a taxi, or about 90 minutes on the (hourly) bus. As we hadn't planned for that extra bit of travelling, we arrived at the Reshotel to get the boat transfer to the rafts just... More

This doesnt mean the hotel was unpleasantly basic. Far from it. Lovely cabins, flowers, hammocks, jetty and sun beds on the water, bar, dining etc. but this place is a true haven. Listening to the water under your rooms is peaceful. Rooms have lovely beds, white sheets, mosquito nets. No electricity, little phone signals, kerosene lamps at night, bit something... More

We stayed for one night only and had the best time. The staff (the mon people) were really friendly and helpful. Sam our guide was great and a very likeable young man. Amazing that he has learnt English from the tourists. As for our rooms, bed a little hard but the rest of the experience made it worth while. We... More

Fantastic! 30 minute long tail boat trip up river, beautiful rafts with thatched cabins, NO ELECTRICITY - you get a paraffin lamp (take a torch!). Comfy & very clean, if basic rooms - perfectly adequate, with the very fast flowing river underneath. Great restaurant, lovely bar area - so beautiful & peaceful, & we slept like logs! No problems with... More

I loved this hotel!! All of the rooms, the lobby, the dining room, everything was floating on the river! Each raft had a sundeck with lounge chairs and a porch with hammocks and every room had a personal balcony in the back with a hammock. Twice during my stay the three elephants who live in the nearby Mon village would... More

My wife and I stayed overnight whilst on our 2 day tour of the Burma railway & Hell fire pass. Good basic food. No mosquitoes or bugs. Kerosine lights at night - no electricity. Visit of the local village worthwhile. Elephants came down to the river in the morning to be bathed! Comfortable bed with huge mozzie net. Basic bathroom... More
