This resort was a wonderful slice of paradise so far removed from everything and everyone. It was our tranquil base to explore Kanchanaburi. The rooms were wonderful in the bungalows, very clean, very comfortable and welcoming. The food was very simple but healthy with minimal choice but certainly enough to fill you up. Our guide was a wonderful man from... More

I stayed here two nights as part of a tour group and was very hesitant about this part of the trip due to all of the reviews here. I must say though, I was pleasantly surprised. This place is definitely isolated from everything and is a great place to relax. Starting with the 5 minute boat ride, the setting was... More

I expected a lot from this hotel since the pictures and description on the website look really nice. And to give a fair picture there are several positive things with this hotel, but also several negative. When it comes to setting it is really beautiful, right by the river in the lush jungle, and very peaceful. Beautiful gardens. Cottages are... More

Its almost a year since we stayed at this place. We stayed at the river view room, just at the starting of the resort. The view from the room is fantastic!! Boat ride from the pier to the resotel is an exp you'll never forget. Room: the room has a rustic feel to it, but its slightly small. Since its... More

I must start out by saying I am completely an outdoorsy person. This review comes from someone who has spent time wilderness camping and hiking with no showers, bathrooms or hot food for days at a time. I would have rather camped outdoors in the jungle than have stayed in this resort. My husband and I spent two nights at... More

Dear mopogra, Thank you for your opinion about the place. We truly regret that you see things differently. You can be assured that we constantly upgrade the property. We have to admit that since the resort is in the tropical jungle surrounded with mountains and the way in to the resort is by boat, there are some insects that you... More

This was the last stop on our "Taste of Thailand" tour and a nice peaceful change from the chaos that was Bangkok--a beautiful jungle setting. We enjoyed the boat ride in and the Elephant camp. The elephant ride was a high point of our trip. The accomodations are basic. We were lucky and had hot water in our shower, but... More

To be fair, the overall service and lovation are rather wonderful. However, there were serious problems with the rooms. We first asked for the best room regardless of the price. We were put into the lowest quality of the room. It was crammed in the garden with no view apart for our neighbours' bungalow. When asked to change, we were... More

Nice place, food ok, service very very friendly and helpful. Beer nice and cold. Loved the boat journey getting there and the hotel itself is a beautiful, peaceful oasis. Sure there's bugs - it's in the jungle. Sit under a fan at dinner and put on some anti-mossie spray. Get yourself a river view cottage for wonderful sun downers. A... More

We LOVED this hotel! However, before going, you should know that there are definite pros and cons to coming to this resort. Pros: 1. If you love the outdoors, this is spectacular. My husband and I have traveled quite a bit in many countries, but I have never felt like I was staying in the middle of the jungle before.... More

My favorite hotel/resort on our trip. I felt like I was really in the jungle. Gorgeous tropical setting, very quiet and peaceful on the River Kwai. (Only access is by boat). Beautiful, classic, old style jungle lodge for reception, restaurant, massage. Thatched roof jungle huts with comfy beds, nice shower/bath. Wonderful service..my idea of paradise!
