This is definietly a non standard way of acommodation! Frankly I spent there one night only and it was enough for me. The hotel is situated in the middle of the jungle, out of the beaten track. There is no light (candles only) and if You go to the toilette everything goes down to the river (no canalization system). Beeing... More

The River Kwai Village hotel is a beautiful hotel, well decorated with wood furnish lobby and beautiful grounds. It is situated in a rural area, just beside the Kwai River and we had a river raft room,so we slept on the river. It was charming. The service is very good,it's clean and all the hotel is beautiful and well kept (including the two pools and... The hotel is on the river Kwai, in a very beautiful place. You have to leave the car in a parking lot and take a boat for about ten to fifteen minutes in an enchanting journey. The hotel is old and needs urgent renovation, particularly in bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool is not large, but nice and pleasant. The food... More

This beautiful property is truly a western style resort. Ideal for the visitor with little time and an ample budget. It's not cheap but is is the kind of place where you can stay without leaving, except on excursions run by the hotel. The grounds are a beautiful tropical garden on the river Kwae. (Kwai) with two big swimming pools... More

we stayed here for 3 nights in a connecting rooms. the room had a balcony with beautiful views of the river. Room was rather old, in need of a renovation, but it was clean and tidy. It is the biggest resort in the area, with two swimming pools, good affordable massage rooms. It is spread out , so have your... More

River Kwai Village Hotel had the worst room, worst breakfast, least clean room and the most unfriendly staff out of all 6 of the hotels we stayed at during our month in Thailand. We stayed here as apart of a two day tour to Kanchanburi and it was the worst part of our trip. We were given two single beds... More

We arrived to the River Kwai Village & were told we were in a room on the river. While the idea sounded fun, adventurous & romantic, it was a little different than we thought. The room was fun, rock floor showers but cold water. A balcony outsided but the animals at night very loud! The only way down to the... More

The hotel is nice and service very good. It is located very nice down to the river. Big swimming pool area with waterslides. However, the hotel is in need of renovation.

The location was superb having a raft room was nice and relaxing .The rooms are comfortable though bathrooms a little tired. We had no real trouble with staff thought they were friendly and helpful. We chose not to do a package tour and instead hired a car and driver (through World Travel Services) to take us to the Bridge on the River Kwai, the Death Museum and the Tiger Temple. Thank God, because we were hot and sweaty and tired after half a day and very glad to have done this in our own... More
