Stayed at Changs for 2 weeks over Christmas Dec 2006. The room was large, very clean with en-suite bathroom, TV & DVD. Situated in a nice area there is a little local restaurant at the top of the street which does a great fried rice for lunch + cold beers much cheaper than Hua Hin town.
Your own transport would be recommended as the walking journey to central HHin takes about 15-20 mins. We hired a scooter but you have to be really careful!!!
Bottled water is avail at Changs and they will arrange breakfast & other refreshments if required.
Top of the street is a very cheap laundry so don't bring lots of clothes with you.
We have booked again for a month Jul 2007 so can assure you it's a good low cost accommodation option.
