Located in the remote Ndutu forest area near Lake Ndutu. Staff helpful & attentive. Food service is to your table (except fruit & cereal buffet in morning). Food was amazing considering how far out in the bush the camp is located. Charming lodge/bar/dining area. Excellent birding nearby and on the grounds. Rooms are detached cottages of 1-3 rooms each. My husband and I have stayed here on 2 safaris in Tanzania, most recently in Feb 2012. The ability to drive off-road in NCAA makes Ndutu a special place, and Ndutu lodge has a great location which helps you take advantage of this. The cottages are comfortable, and we particularly enjoy the conversations with fellow-travellers around the evening bonfire, while... More

a very good lodge. excellent location. rooms are small, but nice. food is good and service is friendly. a nice, small gift shop. a bit difficult to spot cabin numbers in the dark, but the awesome night sky view makes up for this, i think.

We stayed at Ndutu for 4 nights and it was another perfect stay. The staff are friendly, the lodge clean and the location great. I have been twice before and I cannot fault the place. A proper safari lodge with a super atmosphere. Thank you.

We paid for the nicest room they offered. The Toilet was not working. They did not know that the toilet was not working, because they probably did not clean it before we arrived. They moved us to a smaller room that smelled like a "urinal". The management professed that the room smelled fine. As per our guide's insistence, we were... More

Really enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and openess of this lodge. Cabins/rooms required some updating but were clean and spacious. Loved the view of animals walking by while having breakfast or coffee in the lounge area. Staff were friendly always smiling. Food was good.

This was one of the highlights of our two week safari in Tanzania. The rooms were quiet and spacious enough unlike most of our other accomodations. Can't see that lack of afternoon electricity is a problem as most people are out on safari. And if not sitting in the bar area or out by the lake and reading is pleasant... More

Arriving camp in a driving rain storn I thought it was funny to see all of these signs "Conserve water" There was water everywhere. After being assigned an umbrella we waded over to our nice apointed room. The rooms were like small bungalows with between two and four rooms to a building. If there were people next to us we... Simple, rustic, clean, comfortable. Location is amazing. Saw fantastic cat sightings as our animal highlights. On the ride into the Lodge we were amidst the Wildebeests in their migration. We were not bothered by the electricity being on a generator that didn't run 24/7, and hot water for bathroom was solar heated. All part of the "bush" experience. Found staff... More

This is actually my second attempt to review the Ndutu Safari Lodge. My first attempt was apparently too snarky to get past tripadvisor's screening process, so I'll keep this one more mild-mannered.... After quickly glancing at other reviews of the Ndutu Safari Lodge, I realized that many of the positive reviewers were doing what Ndutu Safari Lodge itself is doing... More
