We stayed here for one night right after our climb, when we arrived (exausted and filthy) Erica met us and proceeded to tell us that we may or may not have hot water, not to use much water and serveral other do and don'ts. All the rooms needed to have the hot water tanks turned on for 1/2 hour prior... More

We stayed at the Ahadi in Arusha one night upon arrival in Tanzania for our safari and one the night before departure home. Meeting Erika, the owner, was like meeting a lifetime friend. Her lodge is an oasis. (Not to dissuade but to prepare you, I must note the bumpy path into the lodge passes the harsh realities of a... More

My husband and I stayed at this family run place in Feb 2012, at the start and end of an organized safari. It was a home away from home! We hadn't searched for this, but chose instead to stay based on the recommendation of the tour company. Erica, the Aussie owner/manager, was very warm and welcoming. The food was fantastic...... A friend and I stayed at Ahadi before and after our safari. The staff, including the owner, was very friendly and the food was excellent albeit because it's such a small place there wasn't any choice with the dinner - although if you were vergetarian and had any aversions you were given the opportunity to say. There were some problems... More

Bare basics, very spotty access to hot water, very neglected property, crummy and uncomfortable rooms, would be acceptable for one night if the room rate was one forth of what they charge.

We were so thankful to arrive at Ahadi Lodge after our long bus ride from Dar. The owner, Erica, was kind and attentive from the moment we arrived. She showed us to our beautiful rooms and they set our table for a delicious meal. In this busy and dusty city, Ahadi Lodge makes you feel like you are far away.... More

Smallish lodge with about 15 rooms and small pool not far from Arusha town center. Excellent food and nice small pool. Friendly owner (Erica from Australia) and great stopping point on the way to ngorongoro crater or tserengeti parks.

My family and I started and ended our safari at the Ahadi, with two rooms before and two different rooms after. The Ahadi is indeed an oasis. The one drawback is that it is in the middle of a rather sketchy neighbourhood. Although it does feel perfectly safe and secure, it is surrounded by the smells and sounds of close human... More

We stayed here with our four kids before and after our safari. This was a great way to begin our adventure. The owner was more than helpful and assists all travelers with any needs before they set off. Beautiful lodge with a nice pool!

We only stayed 1 night here when we arrived from the airport before heading out on our safari but our short stay was very nice. We arrived at the hotel very late due to travel delays but the staff was welcoming with fresh juice and flashlights because the power was out. The room was cute, clean, quiet, and comfy. The... More
