This hotel is definitely not up to the standards of Le Meridian hotels. The hotel itself looks OK. Location is far outside the city, so you have to use a car/taxi to get around. I'll start with the good - probably best to! I was given a suite due to my Starwood membership level and it was fairly good, with... More

From the outside, it is very obvious that the hotel is old - the staff has mentioned that it is 30 years old! The escalators are ancient, the pools and gardens are falling apart, the furnitures in the public areas are shabby. The entire hotel is definitely way past its shelf life at the current situation. The room we had... More

We passed by Le Meridien and enquired the rates and was told it was USD 110 for 2 adults and 1 child. This for us is a bargain since we have been paying over USD 170 for a decent hotel in Syria. The hotel room is old but clean. We ordered pizza for room service and the food turned out... More

+ location at the seaside-though quite far from the city center - outdated hotel very expensive internet, poor wi-fi signal inflexible staff Would stay here again only for a good price deal; i have had one now (could be better as compared to facilities and services; was better than other hotels) as it is off season. Not a 5 stars,... More

What a horrible place for vacationing, the beach full of trash, think of everything dirty stuff in that water and nobody cares, the noise from outside till 3-4 am was unbelievable especially with kids where the had stay up most of the night, the breakfast did not look well organised with someone sitting in the front charging for extra little... this Meridien has just the price that fits the usual Meridian standard. The hotel must have been build in the sixties and since then nothing has been changed, I am not even sure that they have cleaned since ... (the elevators are really filthy!). The hotel beach looked like a public beach with lots of traches everywhere, water full of... More

The hotel seems to be a good location for holiday makers. Beach, pool, outdoor bar are nice. But for business trip it is not so recommendable. Hotel was fully booked during my stay mostly by people on holiday. The evenings and nights were loud due to live entertainment at the pool bar. No working business centre and no internet available... My husband and I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the beach and its water park. To our surprise the beach was full of litter and the swimming pools were SHUT. What a shame! The room was very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom very clean with a big bath but it was not enough to lift our spirits.... More

The hotel is good, comfortable but not understand why the Le Meridien maintains a hotel at place as bad as Latakia. Latakia is a waste, nothing to do, nothing to see, the city is dirty, the beach is horrible. The hotel is far from everything and locomotion in Latakia complicated because the taxi drivers do not speak English. I hated... More

One of Latakia's best hotel, although it does not live even close to the western standards one might have in mind before traveling. On the plus side: spacious, cheap restaurant (main dishes between 5-8 USD), nice view from the rooms. On the minus side: Lots of loud noises in the hotel well up to 3-4am so no sleep for the... More
