This hotel is situated is the busier and more touristic part of N. it is next to the beach and the main street where you can find several resto's, shops and intercafe's. They served a good breakfast and their service was good. The room was large and luxurous for two people with refrigirator and safe. Without negotiating the receptionist gave...

Basic hotel, although right on the beach and central for negombo. Unfortunately, noisy music from bars into the night. Lacked a homely feel.

After reading reviews I booked 2 nights at The Pearl to start off my 2 week trip in Sri Lanka.
I am so pleased I did. One of my party missed their flight and there was no problem with postponing their air port collection. Mine also arrived promptly which was great as I was a lone female in a new...

We spent one night there since we had a super early flight in the morning. There are many good to great things about the Pearl but the rooms are very basic. The location is great. It is right on the beach and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. We tried to eat at the Swiss restaurant across the street...

As regular visitors to the beautiful country of Sri Lanka, we were looking for a stopover hotel so as to avoid the early morning dash from Colombo to the airport. As we have done so many time in the past, we turned to Tripadvisor for guidance. The Pearl seemed to have an overwhelming number of great reviews and knowing Tripadvisor...

This is a very small hotel with only six rooms. But it is value for money all day long. The rooms are good with only one disadvantage if you are tall (beds are not suitable if you are taller than 180 cm). But everything else is like a colonial paradise. You are eating excellent breakfasts at the veranda (or inside...

The room was very basic, no TV (which normally doesn't bother me at all, but in Negombo may have been a nice addition) and not particularly homely, colourful or welcoming. The staff themselves seemed accommodating and friendly, however at 47 euros a night absolutely not worth it. In Sri Lankan terms this should have been a much higher quality hotel...

Stayed there two nights after landing in Colombo, it's 15 minutes away from the airport, and came back two more nights before leaving Sri Lanka. The Pearl was the right pick to begin and end my trip. Had a seaview and the beach is very large.
When we left on the last day we forgot in the safe box all...

We stayed here for one night before returning to the UK. Great little place - clean, comfortable and friendly, could not ask for more. Rooms simple and ok - but Negombo not that attractive (or at least this bit of it) and the beach was a bit dirty with rubbish.
