Stayed for 2 nights to recover from the fllght from London. The guesthouse arranged a pickup from the airport for LKR 1,500 ($13). The room rate was SLR1,200 ($10.5) per night but as often in Sri Lanka there was a 10% service charge added to the final bill.
The room was rather dark, had an attached bathroom with shower and WC. Twin beds pushed together under a frame mosquito net.
The guesthouse has a open sided restaurant overlooking the small garden that has some loungers. At the bottom of the garden is a fence and gate separating the guesthouse from the beach. The beach is a working one with fisherman and boats besides locals playing cricket. The beach shelves quickly and the sea was rough, not the best place to swim.
The restaurant served simple local and western food. The food quality was adaquate but not a patch on that we sampled elsewhere on the island. Ordering in advance was required for evening meals and local breakfasts.
