The hotel provided a perfect place to climatise and explore Colombo. We stayed here for the first and last night of an eleven day holiday and the hotel was excellent. The service reminded me of hotels in Dubai where nothing is to much trouble.

Travel a lot for business purpose, This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Nice clean and big and spacious rooms. King size bed, new and big television, nice bath. The pool also looked nice, however did not have much time. Very close to the beach. Many options of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff is very nice and polite. Overall a...

Before the trip, we were afraid 3 star hotel accommodation in Nagombo.
We were surprised when we got to the hotel with spacious rooms, new Television, sitting area, a coffee corner and a bathroom all new and shiny.
Staff was welcoming and responded to every request.
When we returned from the flight Maldives, late evening, the entire kitchen staff stays...

We arrived around 01.30am at the hotel. Check in was efficient and quick but we immediately noticed a small group of people in the bar with loud music.
As we were tired from our flight and had an early start the next day we asked when the music would stop. Now was the answer but it appeared the owner had...

Nice location near the beach, and nice quiet pool area. Liked the room a lot. Good shower. But the best thing was that when my husband was refused boarding on a flight back to India because of an incorrect visa (issued, by the way, by Visa Connections in Calgary - don't ever use them, they're clueless), the St. Lachlan staff...

We stayed the one night before flying back to the UK. It is not the smartest hotel in Negombo but convenient for the beach and the shops and restaurants.
The service was helpful though not quite as polished as we found elsewhere in Sri lanka. Food in the restaurant was quite acceptible.
The room was fairly basic and one of...

the reception area is a bit shabby but we were shown to an excellent large room with mini bar, huge bed and lots of storage, efficient a/c., very good shower. Both nights we stayed we couldn't get the safes to work but I think this a general problem with electronic safes.
The 2 breakfasts we had and one lunch were...

Although Negombo wasn't my choice of place to stay for three nights (work related), it was made all the more pleasant by this hotel. The bedrooms at St Lachlan are spacious and stylish. Plus the large 200 x 200 bed with spotless white linen was the most comfortable I've experienced in Sri Lanka. The bathrooms are also lovely with a...

Rooms were ok, bathrooms were a bit drab. My friend had no towels in her room. Service was courteous but that isto be expected in Sri Lanka. Fine for a night after a long flight.
We stayed here for 1 night at the start of our holiday. Thr rooms were absolutely fine and the hotel was just across the road from the beach. What really stood out though were the staff and the quality of the food. The staff genuinely couldn't do enough for you and were really friendly and chatty and very interesting to...
