After 2 nights in Colombo the four of us arranged for our contact Shalika to pick us up from Kalutara railway station as that is as far as the train currently goes. He was there on time and basically made himself available from that time onward for the whole of our stay. We had two lovely meals at the guest... More

I found Ranthil while looking for a peaceful hill top location conveniently placed for both Galle and Unawatuna. I loved watching the variety of birds visitng the beautiful gardens and the visits of troupes of monkeys raiding the fruit trees. An added bonus was the charm of the host family for whom nothing was too much trouble. I am addicted... More

our stay in ranthil was perfect. people were really nice and helping, the place is beautiful. rooms were neat and clean. you should definitely visit this place! thanks, Shalika! )))
