Susantha's reminded me of the old colonial days of the Raj. The rooms had a living area with old fashioned (but lovely)furniture, a bedroom with 4 poster bed and nets and a bathroom. Also, a terrace with huge lounging chairs. I felt that all we needed was a "punka walla"

we ate here 4 times whilst staying at our all inclusive hotel,this gave us a nice trip out and a change of scenery and people,an extensive menu with local dishes,pizza,pasta and seafood and we all found something we liked especially the kids (4-6 )the wine was cheaper than the hotel but still expensive,no bad stomachs for the whole two weeks...

We stayed at the nearby Serendib Hotel on Bentota Beach but took every opportunity to escape that concrete jungle to enjoy freshly prepared food and reasonably priced drinks at Susantha'a restaurant/bar.
