After using the hot springs in the hotel, I asked reception how to get somewhere. They rudely asked me what is your room number and when I said I wasn't staying there, I just used the hot spring in their hotel which was quite obvious from my wet hair, they wouldn't help me. Even when I told them the reason... More

Stayed here for two nights for a business stay. Room was bit disappointing, old worn down furniture and smelled badly of tobacco smoke. Hotel supposedly has a good spa and location is good for visiting Kaist. Also, staff were friendly with good English. However, room itself was not so great, it might have been great 30 years ago, but this... More

fourth time here this year. It 's better than other reviewers seem to say, in my experience. As in all Daejeon hotels you pay for your toiletries; the hotel staff speak above standard English. The breakfast is a buffet, better than the next-door Riviera by far. The restaurants have all been good. Rooms are good sized but there are no... More

This hotel definitely did not meet my expectations. The lobby is very nice but the staff barely spoke English. My room was extremely small and very old looking. Bathroom was stained and you had to pay for every toiletry!!! Internet was free in the room. There was a desktop in the room or you can connect your laptop to a... More

Was at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel room has two beds: a double and a single bed. The bathroom is small and the paint on the walls were peeling off. Everything in the room is chargeable so be careful what you take..even the shampoo, toothbrush etc. are all chargeable. the excuse is to protect the environment thus the hotel... More

After seeing the website and reading some reviews, I expected a lot of this hotel. The entrance and the hallways are shiny and nice, but the room was a bit disappointing. First of all, the room stank of smoke and I was told that there are no separate no-smoking rooms which may be typical of the area. However, I left... More

Writing this while in hotel; previous reviews seem to be at least 1+ years old now... First impression was reasonable; shiny entrance area, plenty of marble, etc. However, just a single (small) elevator to the rooms, which takes ages to arrive. The floors for the rooms are very dark and dated. Enter the room and this continues - couldn't believe... More

Stayed overnight as part of business trip to local research places and Chungnam Univ. Inexpensive -around US $110 for single. Easy from Daejeon station -about US $8 taxi, taking around 30 mins. Rooms up to western 3*+, good English in hotel. Pleasant quiet location, OK breakfast, good Korean lunch (kalbitchim). Excellent value- pleasantly surprised. Interesting to have spa water piped... My wife and I spent a week in Korea for a late autumn break as we live in the region. We've been to Korea several times before but this was our first stay in Daejeon. We really wanted to stay in a spa town so we chose this hotel. The spa is part of the hotel and is open to... More

I wanted find a hotel in Korea but none were listed, and finding Yousung because of a friend was a delightful treat. The Hotel itself is total deluxe with every need taken care of and no tips expected for outstanding service. My room was wonderful with views overlooking the city's night life. There was a nightclub and a couple of... More
