The public areas of the Dona Gracia Hotel are beautifully furnished in 16th century style. Unfortunately, the rooms are furnished in modern motel, very basic and completly lacking in charm. It was an okay place to stay; clean and with a decent breakfast. As usual (in an Israeli hotel) I found the staff bordering on unfriendly and only mildly helpful. Oh well, I just wanted a clean, safe place to stay as a woman travelling on her own and this hotel gave me just that. more

I booked this hotel with expedia and got a confirmation. 2 weeks before my arrival I contacted the hotel to let them know I would be arriving late in the evening. The hotel manager confirmed that they had got the reservation but said they did not have room. He said they were unable to contact Expedia. Had I not called... more

The Dona Gracia Hotel is not only a hotel but also a museum. It is a "theme" hotel on the life of Dona Gracia, including period costumes which the guests are encouraged to try on and wear!
