4th stay at this property - with Catholic pilgrimage group. Service was excellent; bar could use a bit of modernizing, no ice and one gal who really didn't know how to tend bar. But she was delightful, we all helped her. Rooms clean and adequate. Food was very good buffet, something for everyone. Location fabulous, overlooking Sea and easy walk... more

We stayed here for 1 night in January 2009. I agree with most of the earlier commenters. This hotel seems to be in the process of a very slow renovation. Check-in and check-out were friendly and efficient. I'd describe the rooms and hallways as "shabby-chic." The bed was comfortable, the bathroom fixtures were OK, and the heat and hot water... more

We had difficulty finding a room so we decided on the Moriah gardens. As we drove to it, we saw it did not have a sign but a banner that announced it's name. Since it had been a Mercure, we felt it could not be a terrible place or location. I went up to check out the room and the... more

The Mercure was changing ownership the day after we stayed there in Dec. 2007. I hope they have money to spend to upgrade the rooms. We arrived on Shabbat. Staff at the desk were pleasant. Since there is a synagogue on site, this appears to be a holiday destination for observant Jews. The place was jam packed with adults and... more

We initially booked this hotel for two nights. This was, believe it or not, the only hotel available according to a few travel agencies and Internet search. We were desperate to go to Tiberias and decided to take it. I had the shock of my life when I got there, I thought it was a joke. It was old and... more

We stayed at the Mercure Tiberias for 3 nights and were glad to leave. The hotel website lead us to believe that it was a modern hotel with a number of amenities, but that was not really the case. Although we had a good view of the Sea of Galilee, it was tempered by views of abandoned hotels. The Tiberias... more

The rooms had a great view on the Tiberias Lake. The lobby bar was nice , the services at the hotel, the food variety at the dinning room were very good. We enjoy from the helpful team that provided us good advices for trips and restaurants nearby. We had a very nice stay at this hotel. more

The Mecure had great views from each room. The lobby bar was very nice. Those are the only nice things I can say about the hotel. The rooms we had were very dirty and in need of renovation. The batthrooms were not clean. I would not recommend this hotel. more
