The suite we got was deposed and a very fancy with it gave a feeling of rustic and warm, amazing hospitality and the welcome warm and inviting, the experience was beyond anything we expected, we could not ask for more.

First of all, each and every one of the prior reviews about 1885 B&B is true!
Maayan and Gil Matz, the owners of 1885 B&B, must be the nicest B&B owners on earth! From the time of our initial inquiry until check-out, we just could not believe the extent to which Maayan would go to make us feel welcomed: Very...

This quaint, quiet and historic cottage has to be the best spot in Israel to chill out. Not only is it accessible to all the Golan Heights has to offer in natural beauty, you don't have to leave your room for the utmost in B&B pampering. The hosts, Maayan and Gil, we're so warm, caring and generous with both their...

We are a family of 4 who have just returned from our maiden trip to Israel. I found the 1885 B&B on Tripadvisor and it looked too good to be true. However it totally lived up to it's all 5 star rating. If I lived in an Israeli city I would make a point of taking time out 3 or...

We spent two nights at 1885 B&B in April 2012 and it was not enough. The B&B (“zimmer” in Israel) experience is very different to that in a hotel or an apartment and is ideal in relatively remote locations like the upper Galilee town of Rosh Pina. As we sat eating our personalised and scrumptious breakfast on the terrace of...

I have to add our effusive compliments to Maayan. This was by far the nicest place that we stayed at in our two weeks of traveling around Israel. We were the only ones there and so we were able to stay in the larger room and use the balcony with the incredible panoramic views of the Golan and Mount Hermon....

I can only say that everything written by the outstanding reviews is true. We were booked at the 1885 by our guide, who assured us we would love the place. We were there only one night, but we will arrange to stay at the 1885 for a few nights the next time we visit Israel. If you are in that...

Beautiful rooms, unbelievable breakfasts and room goodies, and the friendliest hosts you can imagine. The other reviews are not exaggerating. Mayan has got to be the nicest person in the world. When I pointed out a missing blow dryer, she said "oh, someone must have accidentally packed it into their suitcase". Our Israeli friends left before we did so we...

This tzimmer/B&B is a beautiful converted old home built by Baron Rothschild in 1885 as part of a project to establish a community in Rosh Pina. Our guide recommended the location, the reviews on tripadvisor were universally favourable, and the website looked promising. When we called from Canada to make our reservation, Maayan was friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to...

The 1885 was recommended to us by an Israeli friend who honeymooned there and goes back with his wife for special occasions. He urged us to make The 1885 part of our Israel travel experience. After having done so, I can see why. First, Rosh Pina is a charming little town--an arts colony--in the Galilee. It is close to the...
