A great location , near the Dead Sea. Staff helpful & friendly . Excellent rooms & great breakfast. The standard of accommodation provided a lot better than some hotels I stayed in. Would certainly recommend this place.

I am a wholly deaf solo traveller – on Monday 3rd October, 2011, I went to stay at Kibbutz Kalya near The Dead Sea for 2 nights from where I was able to visit Qumran nearby. After I got off the Egged bus at Kalya and Qumran Branching bus stop, I walked on the road in the desert towards Kibbutz... More

We stayed here for almost a week - a family of 1 kid, 2 parents and 2 grand parents. If you have no car - rent one before you come. Otherwise you cannot go anywhere (the beach is about 5Km from the place, no public transportation, too hot for walking). Car rental + room price is still cheaper than most... More

This hotel is located just 45 minutes from Jerusalem and yet so far away! We were a 5 minutes drive to the dead sea and 20 minutes to Ein Geidi. The rooms are modern with great air conditioning (needed most of the year here). On the kibbutz there is a nice pool, bar, and dinning room. The food was good... More

Kalia was a lovely place to stay right near the dead sea, an oasis in a very hot summer desert. We were two couples travelling together, and had a shared little balcony with our two rooms next to each other. The room was a little small but had a very comfortable large bed (two singles joined together), and a small... More

Kaliya (Qalya) Guest House was a pleasant surprise for us. Our room had a bedroom, living room (which had two fold out single beds), fridge, television, large grassy patio, and electric coffee pot stocked with tea and coffee. On the kibbutz (Kibbutz Qalya) there is a pool, pub, mini-mart, playground and horse stables. The guest house also provides guests with... More

Just above Dead Sea and two minutes from Qumran and about 25 to 30 minutes from Jerusalem. Comfortable room with bath, television, coffee maker.. Small mini store to purchase items if needed...excellent dinner and breakfast in the kibbutz dining hall...lovely lush surroundings...will certainly stay there again and for a longer time to take advantage of horseback treks into the Judean...
