This hotel is old and not very nice. The only saving grace is the view. The lake right at your window.
Food is terrible and noisy too as the boats parked outside your windown tend to go vroom vrrom vroom early in the morning. Hotel water is an issue in these areas so there's expected. Abit far from main town...

The rooms are decent and clean. There is a nice view of Lake Toba and we enjoyed hanging out enjoying the view.
We were informed that hot water was available only during certain hours, so we had to bathe by 10pm.
We had dinner there and the food was basic and the fish during dinner was a bit stale.

Old hotel, expensive for what it is but great view of the lake. Hotel is OK for one night maybe but no longer. Staff allowed a tout to follow us around even though it was obvious he was annoying us.
Best tip is to make sure you arrive early enough to get the last ferry to Samosir Island
