When my family and I went to Medan, we stayed there for one night. The hotel is quite brand new, during our stay there were renovations being done (expansion), it was noisy with hacking and grinding. So please confirm with the hotel if there's more renovation work being done. The rooms that we booked were with buffet breakfast. But unfortunately,... More

I made the decision to book and stay at this hotel by reading other people's reviews. You can imagine how my heart raced as the taxi driver was driving to our destination. My children and i were relieved when the taxi stopped outside this great looking building. The lobby was very inviting, the staff was very friendly and best of all we were upgraded... I stayed here twice between my trip to Bukit Lawang. Both times they were overbooked, so I got free upgrades to an Executive room, which was very nice. Staff good, especially the bell boys. Breakfast was good the first time, not so good the second. Sleep quality good – nice soft beds with duvets rather than fiddly blankets. The “spa”... More

Nice looking hotel, marble, modern design. We stayed in the Executive Room, was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Good value as we paid about INR260000 approx €26 (special offer price I think). Reception staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast not good: few options for us vegetarians, poor coffee, undrinkable artificial juice, dominant TV. There is a good vegetarian restaurant within... More

Well, I stayed here and was left thinking there was much more they could have done to make this a better place. The breakfast was not very good but was sufficient to our needs. However, every morning there was a number of people smoking and no air flow to provide cleaner smelling air. The room was ok and the bed... More

We stayed in Grand Sakura Hotel for one night (check-in 13 Dec. 2011) and paid 261,000.00 INR (29.00 USD). Location is far from the city centre, general shopping and the couple of tourist attractions in Medan, but it seems to be not a problem as transportation in Medan is very cheap. House-keeping is very good, room is big and very... More

I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and there are 2 days did not get a welcome drink, i call to the receptionist but passed to the other, poor room service, dirty bathroom floor. For breakfast taste awful, food, drinks, plates, glasses always less so guests have to wait long to be served. REALLY, I do not recommend this... More

I love staying at this hotel. It's clean and the bed is comfortable. Staff are friendly, breakfast choices are acceptable, tour service available & it's near mini market. Not so far from the airport.

The most comfortable beds and pillows that I have come across in Medan at a reasonably priced hotel. Loved the room it was spacious and luxury. There was easy access to Super Market for supplies. Near to Train Station for travelling. The taxis directly outside the hotel will not use their meters and so try to overcharge you. We walked... More
