Grand Aston is a conveniently located hotel, directly opposite Medeka Walk, which is food street with a long row of restaurants and eateries. Rooms are beautifully designed. Very modern and luxurious. Buffet breakfast was also a treat, with a range and variety of food served. The design of the restaurant was fit for a king, although the furniture were too... More

When they constructed the Hotel, the old Dutch colonial City Hall of Medan is preserved. Now, it housed the historical museum of Medan, and a colonial style European Restaurant. The hotel itself is a modern one with first class hotel rooms and all its related facilities like swimming pool, spa, gym, fine restaurants etcetera. For those who prefer to stay... More

I've had checked out from Grand Aston Medan (Room 615) today and reached back Jakarta. Overall my staying experience in Aston was indeed poor if not terrible. Following are reasons to it: 1) I was given premier deluxe reservation voucher by my company travel agent. Upon check in I was told that I would have to wait for 2-3 hours... More

Overnighted at the hotel before flying to Singapore. Had spent three weeks away from home so was looking for a relaxing few hours in Medan at the end of a taxing business trip. Found the hotel comfortable enough. Despite being warned by ther reviews, still found the check-in procedure to take too long; still found myself being booked for 300,000... More

Good hotel at a good price. Very helpful staff, one of which offered me his personal travel power adaptor to take with me on my travels as I forgot to bring mine. The only gripe is the lack of Internet connectivity available in the rooms.

After spending several days roughing it near Lake Toba, it was a pleasure to check in to this beautiful, recently-renovated property. There are many hotels that aspire to four-star status, but few, like this hotel, actually deserve the rating, in my view. The rooms are very modern, sleek. Not perfect, but good enough to overlook the imperfections: renovation/construction work next... More

I stayed a couple of times & everytime an awesome stay. Very accommodating&helpful staff, good b'fast, just across the open air arcade,Merdeka Walk, w/ foodies&hangout spots, just a few minutes to one of the upscale restos in the city & lots of other options of things to visit, and the stay itself is really enjoyable & worth all of your spending on it!
