We went to Bali for our honeymoon and stayed in Kuta at the Istana Rama for 7 nights. Kuta is not honeymoon friendly. Put that aside the hotel is badly rundown. Location was fantastic. Right opposite beach, 10 minute walk into the heart of Kuta and 10 minute walk to Legian. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Great value for money. Swim up bar was great. Only downside were the cocktails, which weren't quite up to the standard at other venues.
