“Terrible Slum in Kuta”

Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by an extremely tired looking and run down facade. The 'reception' was merely a run down desk with a sad looking person sitting behind it, and no wonder, for the nearby 'restaurant' was simply a cluster of many old and dirty tables and chairs, without any sort of makings of normal cafes/restaurants.... “Old hotel right on the beach at Kuta's main drag”

The maharani was where we crashed fresh off the plane (we were too lazy to haul our bags any further up Poppies 1). There'll always be a few empty rooms here if you need to crash. I stayed here for a night. Extremely old, run-down, musky smell, and not worth the price... i paid Rp350,000 (US$38) which i feel is expensive for this sort of room. Breakfast was terrrible as well! Check out early next morning and found myself a better hotel just down the road at Satriya cottages at just an extra US$5...

Booked this place online. Stayed one night then checked out the following morning and checked into Kuta Puri Bungalows just down the road from it. The hotel seemed to have more locals staying there. It's really run down, there's broken furniture lying around in the hallways, the rooms fridge was dirty as well as the bathroom. Location is right behind... More
