“Great place to cool off and recoup”

We thought this place was terrific. It has fantastic air conditioning, big rooms, folks who really want to help you out, good service, clean rooms, warm shower... The restaurant below has fantastic food and good (but slow as usual) service. We had stuffed tandori potatoes that were to die for. The place is a little out of the action, but it's nice if you're feeling pressured. Internet place across the street. I don't know what the other folks are complaining about. The car drove right up to the front and we walked in on clean marble. Fancy-- a little too fancy for me, so I felt pretty good. More

“This Place Should Be Condemned Filthy Horrible Ruined My Entire Trip”

This place is in the middle of nowhere, it isn't even IN Varanasi, the rooms were filthy and had literally 100's of moth balls to try to disguise the odor that was akin to a male urinal toilet on an Indian train. My room had NO hot water and NO heat. It was freezing being that the windows won't shut either. The flooring has no rugs or cover so it was unbelievably cold in the room. The sheets and bedding were filthy. The "white" towels were brown so even if there WAS hot water, who would want to shower like that? Mind you, I am a seasoned traveler, this was not my first trip to India and I didn't expect the Ritz Carlton but this was worse than a flea bag hostel. Do yourself a favor and find a place with a better rating that you can trust. More
