The resort gives you a feeling of being at home, the food is lovely and traditional. The place has such amazing wildlife in and around the property that it makes it very exciting to stay here. I have been to this place more than four times now and will surely say its a must go for people who wish to... More

We stayed at Chambal for two days in Jan 2012. As the other reviewers say, it's kind of pricey, but there are lots of great things to do, especially for kids, and we had a lovely time. Our eight year old son rated it the best place I have every stayed" and he's a pretty tough customer when it comes... More

We were slightly worried thinking we will have not much to do if we were not serious bird watchers and our 9 year old son may complain. However, we were surprised with the absolute diversity of activities, and how accommodating the staff were. Apart from the wildlife, there is so much history and culture on offer. Our son was going... More

This past November, I travelled to India for the first time with a friend and as part of a small tour. Our first "major stop" was Chambal which we arrived after a 6+ drive from Delhi. What a delightful start to our holidays. We stayed in one of the cottages and once we'd killed off the mosquitoes and turned on... More

We stayed here on recommendation of a friend and we really enjoyed our visit. We found the rooms excellent. Very comfortable, well decorated and clean. My only complaint about the room was the nauseating and overpowering artificial smell from the strange incense sticks which seemed to be a non-burning wick. This was easily resolved by putting them outside the room.... More

I often visit India on business, but my wife had never had the opportunity to go, and I wanted to show her one of the highlights, the Taj Mahal. But she also loves animals and birds, and when I realised the Chambal Safari Lodge was just close by, we then had the recipe for a wonderful trip to this part... More

We stayed here on a group trip and no one wanted to leave! Every small detail from the room decor to the attentive intuitive attention of the staff was absolutely faultless. For me the highlight was the eco policy of Chambal. Can't recommend this place highly enough!! Bird watchers delight too as all the guides are passionate about birding and... More

After catching an amazing glimpse of the Taj Mahal and spending a night in a hotel I will not be reviewing on TripAdvisor, we headed to Chambal. It was like a breath of fresh air after Agra. We spent almost two full days with Dushyant, one of the naturalists, as well as the owners whose hospitality is nearly unmatched! The... More

Must spend two nights, minimum, and ask the hotel to show you around. Go on their (a) spiritual visit, (b) historical visit, and (c) nature visit. More
