Awesome place for good holiday! it was our family's spiritual tour. Our family guruji narendra sharma of "bruhat bramhanda" fame recommended us to visit madurai before ashada. The smell of sambhar filled our nostrils the minute we entered the place. The location was good. Right in the heart of the town. True to any ITDC hotel it was value for money. We were on a family tour on Tamil nadu this summer 2010. We visited madurai and stayed in Madurai Ashok ITDC Hotel for 2 days. this was the first time we were visiting Madurai.
