We went to Coonoor just to relax and get out of the hustle and bustle of city. We had been to Ooty twice before and didn't choose it because it was too commercialized. We had our apprehensions whether Coonoor and McIver would be the correct place to rejunenate! Yes, we were not wrong. Coonoor is definitely smaller and hence less... More

We travelled with two other families and a children to McIver. The place has lovely views, and even though these are views of the town, the hills in the distance add a "hill-station" charm to it. The bungalow is in town and easy to find, with good road connectivity. The place has a big garden - 2 different groups could... More

We stayed at Acres-Wild farm, whose owner recommended 180 McIver for a special dinner. We were surprised to find excellent home-made pasta there. Great service. Other dishes weren't quite as good, but still recommended. Only complication is that the place is remote, and auto-rickshaws are anxious about taking it at night as there are wild elephants.

Stayed here in August 2011. Amazing cannot fault. Lovely position away from the town. When we arrived in the town we were anxious about the accomodation and we didnt need to be. Spectacular views, lovely comfortable bedrooms, clean, nothing too much trouble. We had breakfast in the garden and we ate in the restaurant. Everything was lovely

Unfortunately we didn't stay here (we had booked and paid to be elsewhere) but we did see the rooms and we had drinks in the garden overlooking the sunset one night, and loved it so much we came back for dinner the next night. It's a great location with a fabulous view. They've done the place up beautifully. The food... More

Overlooking the valley, this is an absolutely heaven of a place to stay in. That feeling of having a cup of tea, early in the morning, with a view of the entire valley in front of you is one that you will never forget. Large, well maintained rooms along with a French restaurant that is a must-visit. We traveled over... More

This place is very close to the city, but is totally disconnected from it. The views are breathtaking. We had booked the whole place out except for couple of rooms. So looked like the whole place belonged to us. Complete privacy. Have stayed in many places in Conoor, this is the best so far. Dont expect hotel services, like bar,... More

Review for Trip Advisor A holiday in the hills is relaxing not only due to a gentle climate and great views, but due to the ambience, which is quite different from the heat, dust and flat roofed buildings of the lowlands. Contributing to the ambience are the colonial kind of buildings with verandahs, fireplaces, wooden floors and tiled roofs, all... More

McIver180 in this little town of Coonoor, is an amazing discovery. Set on a little piece of plateau on a hill facing the whole village is this French boutique hotel.
