Absolutely fantastic! A haveli with a gorgeous, vast swimming-pool and lovely rooms. Only problem is that the doors are bit funny, because they can be locked from the outside.

Georgeously decorated rooms and common areas; beautiful pool and gardens; music every other morning with breakfast; charming staff; easy location for getting trishaws, away from the madness of downtown and lakefront area. Very reasonably priced rooms and food.

We tried for top floor rooms but as the hotel was full, had to settle for rooms next to reception. We stayed for 3 nights at the Mahendra Prakash and really enjoyed it. Our room was very spacious and had a nice view of the pool/garden area. The staff was extremely helpful and helped organize a driver to take us to Kumbhalgarh Fort and the Ranakpour temples. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

I went there expecting a 5 star experience with a 3 star budget. I was obviously mistaken. Nice staff but this is deffinetly more a hotel then a guest house. Internet was spotty at best and tons of Mosquitos with no screens protecting room.
