This was our second visit to this hotel and its definately improved. All the rooms we saw were good but I would say that for most visitors its worth the extra for the lake view rooms. Staff are well trained, friendly and efficient. They have a good chef working in a clean kitchen the food was tasty and well spiced... more

A fantastic hotel deep inside old udaipur with a fantastic view of the lake from the restaurant. We had booked the normal rooms without a lake view - the rooms were big and airy and good aircoditioning. We just came back from a trip of rajastan...our first stay at udaipur city and the hotel- jagat nivas palace- is as pretty as the city itself...the location is excellent - on the banks of the lake !! The Jagat Niwas has beautiful rooms decorated with traditional block prints of Rajasthan. The rooms are excellent - clean and airy. Beds are firm but comfy, bathrooms are very clean. The hotel is beautfully decorated - Rajasthani paintings and decorations adorn white washed walls. Air - conditioning and huge fans in every room were essential and gave a cool haven... more

Cabt beat the location and the rooms are cozy, pretty and clean enough. The restaraunt is a bit pricy but very good. If you want a splurge under 100 bucks this is a great plkace. Its not luxury, but it has A great view, toilet, shower, rooftop. more

I was pleasantly surprised by the Jagat Niwas hotel. The hotel is right on Lake Picchola and close to many shops. Its restaurant has a fantastic view of the lake. You can choose to sit on the 2nd floor or on the terrace. Most of all, the room is very clean, has good air conditioning, hot water with sufficient water... more

The location, service and hospitality is top notch but one of the quirks is that the room amenities are lacking for the tariff quoted. There is no wireless or wired connection anywhere in the hotel. The restaurant can be a bit pricey but te experience of dining on the rooftop is unparalleled. more
