It is surprising to note that a few people found this place to be terrible. We stayed at the Tiger Safari Resort for 3 days last weekend. They never insisted on an advance payment at the time of booking through e-mail (which is hardly the case with others in their vicinity). The rooms are pretty much basic but nice with... More

The property is below average as compared that is shown on the website. 1.The Cottages : they are reall a joke...the cottage is a small sun facing room with a wooden bed and walls which remind you of a servant quarter. The next choice is a Basement cottage..dingy with walls that have termites on them along with the odd Spider... More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in April 2012. Like most I was in town for the nearby Rathambore National Park. The hotel is quite clean, offers free pick-up from the train station and organises safaris at the NP. The manager, Raoul, is a great guy and nothing is too much trouble. He will do his utmost to... Accommodation for the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve is limited and most of it is quite expensive. This hotel - although it has a pool (which was well maintained when we saw it) we would not call it a resort by any of the usual criteria - was a reasonable price and quite adequate for our needs. We found it clean, the... More

First of all the place is on the road to Ranthambore and is decently located near the Railway Station. We arrived late and checked into the hotel. We had booked a morning safari and we were asked to pay Rs 1000 per guest which is double the amount actually needed for the safari. The hotel management pockets the amount. Also,... More

If you don't know..there is very little in sawai madhophur so the choice of hostel is important. Tiger safari served our needs, it was basic but it was a bed at a decent price. You'd probably go elsewhere for food but if you're simply stopping over to do a safari I'd recommend.

Our family of 6 were happy to arrive at this small hotel after a long train trip from Delhi. The management and staff are fantastic and helpful as well as candid about the hawkers all over town. The gift shop is well priced with a variety of lovely fabrics and keepsakes. The menu had something for everyone in our family:... More

stayed here when on our trip to Rajasthan in Feb 2012. We reached here from Jaipur late at night. Our rooms were ready and clean. Hot water is available only for certain hours and not all the time. The owner is helpful, he suggested and helped us with our travel arrangments while going back to Jaipur. He also arranged a... More

There aren't that many options in Rathambore, and it's not the kind of town that you can easily walk around to a few hotels to check rates as we usually do, so we picked the best looking deal from Lonely Planet and went there. We did expect to pay a bit more in Rathanbore, but it turned out that the... More

Another example of a resort that made it (somehow) into a Lonely Planet and has stopped caring abou its customers. The only reason this resort has any work is because it is on the lower budget end, given that everything in Sawai Madhopur is overpriced due to the tiger reserve. Most people stay here only for 1 night, we made... More
