All the hotels at Jaisalmer are fighting for your business and the manager at this hotel is the original Charlie Hustle. We were booked into another hotel but somehow got brought here. The guest house is inside the walled fort which is nice. The room we had was pleasant. The name of the game is to sign you up for... More

The place is very cheap which is why we did not expect much. On first sight the rooms seem nice and very individual. But once you are in you see that it is not clean the construction is very "custom made". There was not hot water, electricity went out during the night and it was rather noisy as a bird... More

No. 1 low value rip off on our India vacation 2011 Ever since my first visit to Jaisalmer have I wanted to stay at one of the old haveli houses in the fort - even when Lonely Planet advises not to stay at a hotel in the fort... When my wife and I planned our trip to India last year... More

This Guesthouse has only a few rooms but are maintained in their original Haveli style and decorated beautifully. The roof-top restaurant I have reported on previously, but this year I decided to take a Desert Haveli Camel Safari. I have spent a lot of time in the roof top restaurant of the Guesthouse, and consequently have met and spoken with... More

So the rooms are alright even there's no water sometimes but the manager's is the pick of cowdung in India!! They where nice in the beginning and all acting normal more or less, they promise this and promise that and there's nothing becoming true except they want you to pay for it!! Useless in all ways!! There's really nothing good... More

When we went there, we liked the rooms and the view. The manager talked politely and we even booked a desert safari with them. But later our problems just went on increasing. We went in january & there was no water at first leave alone hot water. Hot water was provided to us in buckets, but we had to wait... More

We had been to this place for almost 3 days in Jan 2012. Munna the manager was very polite and convincing at start. And promises a lot of thing but doesn't fulfill even one. Since its winter the water was very very cold in the whole stay we didn't get hot water at all as Munna promised. Also Its the... More

We stayed in Desert Haveli as it was recommended by the Rough Guide. I would strongly advise everyone to not stay here. The manager at the start was nice to start, but as soon as we sat down for breakfast in the restaurant he would not stop trying to get us to do a camel trek with him. He tried... More

Words would not be enough to describe this place.. You should see the smile on the faces of people who stay there and spend time with Alladin and Munna. that will give a better indication of what a small group of people can do to make your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable. Alladin is the best cook you will... More

Please stay here, it's amazing!! Muna (the host) is the most accommodating person we ve come across in our 2 months in India!! We were 3 guests staying in the "Maharaja Suite", it was like a scene from Aladin... Also booking the camel safari with Muna was perfect, we had an amazing 2 nights in the desert (food was delicious,... More
