This could and should have been a great experience given that the building is magnificent both inside and outside. However we are disappointed with the service ( the staff did not really know what was going on and we are given a 'yes' answer to any question) and the rather shabby state of the rooms. Most have been cheaply decorated... More

This is a fascinating Maharajahs palace converted to a hotel but retains the old World atmosphere and unsurpassed architecture and decor . Its not just a hotel its an experience and I regret that being on business that I did not have enough time to look around the corridors which would do a museum proud. The rooms are large for... More

We really enjoyed Bikaner and the Laxmi Niwas Palace is the perfect place to stay. We had a beautifull room on the ground floor opening up to the central courtyard. The dinner in the evening was served outside unde the stars. Hotel delivered good service.

even though my room was small and there were very few bathrooms i was impressed with the service - they went above and beyond making sure we were satisfied.

I was in Bikaner in may 2011 and we stayed at the Laxmi Niwas Palace. first of all, the buildint is historical, very nice architecture, with the garden, and the nice interior courtyard with fountain and tables. This hotel is a maze, filled with a lot of corridors. Walls are covered with old pictures and ancient reliques. I felt like... More

Another great RAJ visit. Not as luxurious or modernised as some of the others but it had a charm and eccentricity to it that I loved. The staff were all very helpful and the rooms are great...not luxurious....but just too cool as a place to stay in. Very Downton Abbey. The bar and pool rooms have to be seen to... More

Laxmi Niwas appears to suffer from a proliferation of one night stays. Much in the hotel seems to have this in mind. What could be a fantastic palace hotel is instead an open storage area with cleaning regimes gone walkabout, as apparently, had the manager. Everything here, rooms, lobby, restaurant, public areas, bathrooms, whilst all OK they would benefit from... More

We were in Bikaner in March, 2012. We were not staying at The Laxmi Niwas Palace Hotel (too expensive!) but were told that we could attend the cultural evening if we made a reservation for dinner. Dinner begins at 7.30pm (in the courtyard inside the palace). The setting is beautiful and I would highly recommend this place for dinner.

This was our first visit to India and for 15 days we drive thru Rajasthan and Deli. I can not say Bikaner as a lot to offer (the Rat Temple is a must) but the hotel is by itself a cultural monument. This was perhaps the best hotel we have stay until now. The property is huge and you can... More

This was a real palace of the king of Bikaner. Rooms are huge, 36 squer meters, and sealing is also 6 meters high. Tv in the rooms, huge bathroom with bath and shower. Large bads. Evrything is huge. But.... Internet did not worked and they didnt fix it as they told they will be.
