I, Priyanka Halder, am here today to share a very painful and nightmarish experience which I faced on 24 the March , 2019 , in the hands of the manager of Hotel Keshari, (OYO 16159),station square, Master canteen area, Kharabela nagad, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha 751001. Me and my husband had some work there and booked the hotel for a day , from 23-24. I previously informed them of late check in. I arrived on 24 the at 5.30 am at the counter of Hotel Keshari. First of all the manager took around 15 min to get up from his sleep and finally when he arrived at the counter he immediately demanded Rs 1500 to pay for double occupancy , as my husband was with me . We booked the hotel from OYO website and the receipt required me to pay Rs 834 only for double occupancy. The manager literally threatened us and told us to get lost if we don't pay . He showed us a letter from OYO. We requested the manager many times and even told that we will be using it only for a couple of hours just to freshen up . We showed him our OYO receipt. But he said he doesn't care ! Either we pay or he will throw us out. I was tired and needed to use the restroom. So I thought to deal with it later and paid up the amount . After we checked in the room (Room-309), we were in for a shock ! For a room worth Rs 1500, it was stinking with the smell of toilet and everything had a yellow stain ! The bedsheet , the mug , the dressing table , the small fridge , EVERYTHING ! Even the pillows were torn with cotton coming out . Check out the pictures for proof . Now I was really scared to check out the toilet . Eventually, when I finally mastered the courage it turned out to be worse than my nightmare. There was literally faeces stain and real faeces all over it . The bathroom was filled with roaches . I was stunned. The bathroom of the railway station is much cleaner ! Even , public toilet is much cleaner ! Please check the pictures for proof . We refused to use the bathroom. I only washed my face and came out . It was impossible to breath in that stinking environment. We were in that nightmarish room for 1 hr . Finally when it was our time to check out , I called OYO. After our conversation, OYO spoke with the manager and told them to return our money because it was a mistake on OYO's part. That notice was sent by mistake. But the manager told us to do whatever we want but he will not return the money . By this time , we understood that he was a cheat and a fraud . OYO also did not help us much when we informed them. We were also worried about our safety because of his goon like behavior. So this is the only way I thought I can protest . I am never going to book again in OYO because they don't verify the quality of rooms they are providing. And they don't provide any support in case the customer is in trouble. And as for the goon like fraud manager of Hotel Keshari , I can only pray noone else falls his victim . P.S- OYO paid us back the extra amount we paid 3 days later. However, they could never compensate the humiliation and suffering we went through that day. Therefore it is important for me let others know what we went through.…
