Really enjoyed the Gumnut--stayed for 6 nights at the beginning of January. The rooms are very clean, big and nice. I ended up having to stay in Varkala longer than expected and Rose was very understanding and helpful. Ask her for restaurant suggestions! Helps to get away from the many touristy restaurants.
