Anu and her mom-in-law provided us with warmth and attention to detail. The meals were excellent and the Villa was very comfortable. Met some very interesting guests, and will remember the sun-set ride in the dug out canoe with fellow travelers. The reflections on the early morning lake combined with the sounds of birds make this a perfect place to... More

We stayed at Phlipkutty's for three nights in early March. We wer greeted by the owner Anu and she was on hand throughout out stay to deal with our every need. The food Breakfast lunch and dinner was superb and young Phlip(Anu's son aged 14) playing his grand piano before dinner every evening, a real highlight. The cottages are spacious,... More

Flying into Kochin from Europe brings with it the overwhelming image of India, arriving at Philipkutty's Farm by barge and greeted with a cold home made ginger drink in the tranquil surroundings sets the scene for a magical stay. The family run home-stay is personal but not invasive. The food cooked by Mummy and Anu is the best I had... More

This is a fairly isolated place in the Backwaters of Kerala which is reasonably accessible. It has all the conveniences including a decent WiFi and good food. A great place to veg out. There is more separation from people than is usual in India. More

If you want perect peace and perfect relaxation this is the place. Anu and Mummy make you feel as though you are at home and the food is just like your mother used to make but with that Kerala twist. Each bungalow is perfectly siuated on the edge of the water and is superbly appointed. Do take the afternoon walk... More

Philip Cutty's Farm is a magical experience. Yes, it's a farm which produces wonderful fresh meals, tho it's a farm like I've never seen before, on a dike with an extensive raised bed, canal system behind full of coconuts, teak, banana.. It's also a fabulous collection of extremely clean and well appointed cottages & mini compounds, all in a traditional... More

Firstly, this place is not a resort. Its a farmhouse - a massive one i must say. The rooms are colonial style and reside exactly beside the backwaters which in itself is an amazing experience. Reaching this place by boat was another great experience. The food is just heavenly - the best food i ve had so far in kerala... More

Philipkuttys farm is just a wonderful relaxing place to be. The bungalow was marvellous - well appointed and super comfortable bed. The food was out of this world and so varied - didn't have the same meal twice in the four days we were there. Thank you to Mummy! Anu is an amazing lady. She works so hard to meet... More

The approach road leading to the little ferry pier for Philipkutty's Farm is a little disconcerting but having been ferried to the island one is soothed into luxurious calm. The warm and friendly greeting was a mark of what was to follow. Our delightful cottage, close to the backwater, was well appointed very comfortable. Meals are taken at a round... More

On the Philipkutty website, it mentions the ability to organise lunch as a special arrangement. We joined a group that were treated to a cooking demonstration and a delicious luncheon. Anu and her mother in law Mummy were lovely hosts and put in the effort to ensure we had a delightful time on their property. I'm sure staying at their... More
