This was our experience at Gaaman hotel. A rickshaw driver took us to this hotel saying this was a good family hotel. The entrance itself was water logged and impossible to cross on foot. We paid an advance of 3000 rs for two rooms (1500 each). Unfortunately we did not check the rooms before paying.
Once we got the rooms, boy, they were in bad condition. All blankets and bed sheets were dusty, old worn out furniture and no water in taps. The climax was when I tried to sit down on a wooden chair in the room and it broke !! I could have injured myself.
This was only about one of the two rooms. Witnessing this condition I hurried to the other room. Here someone had left the toilet tap running and the entire toilet was clogged. Same condition here too, dusty bed sheets, wet patches on walls.
We got to the reception and demanded our money back. The receptionist calmly said that "we have given 200 rs to the auto driver as commission we cannot give that...
