I found the selection of budget accommodation in Kochi limited and chose this guest house as offering the best option. It is a moto ride to most places you want to visit but the price is right and the rooms o.k. Some people stay in Ernakulam if they have an early bus/train to catch but it has nothing to offer... Stayed in for 3 nights in March 2011. We stayed in the building opposite the office and we seemed to be the only people in the building. We had the balcony to use for ourselves which was great as it was so hot it was lovely to sit out on it with a cool beer watching the locals going about... More

One of the unexpected highlights of our two-month journey in India, Costa Gama was amont the cleanest, cheapest and friendliest places we stayed at. We even decided to come back here spend a few days at the end of our trip. The business is mostly ran by Benson and his family. They really helped us feel welcome so our Indian... More

We arrived and were met at the airport by CG's neighbour-turned-driver Baiju, who was on time and helped us get an Indian simcard (major hassle in town). And ambled our way in town. The drive to Fort Cochin from the airport took an hour and a half. The homestay itself is cozy and very clean. The rooms are a bit... More

it's hard to imagine Benson and his family could be better suited for running a homestay. the welcome i received was incredibly warm, and i felt like i was part of the family by the time i left. i had the sincere privilege of being able to stay 2 months, but it wasn't long enough! the price was more than... After read all the bad and good reviews, we decided to book this place cuz there were not many online, but there are so many places in fort kochi that you can stay, they are a lot nicer. Anyways, we were quite lucky, even though they didn't have a clue we have booked for three nights. During our visit, we... More

I cant fault the cleanliness and the charm of this homestay, however we ended up being treated really shabbily by the owners. We told the owners we would be staying 2 to 3 nights, after the second night they told us we had to move to a building across the road because they had given our room to someone else....they... More

Hard to fault Costa Gama. Cheap. Clean. Decent location. The best part of the experience though is without doubt the owner. Benson is slightly eccentric, has a great sense of humour, is easy to talk to, and very helpful. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Cochin, I can't recommend this place enough.

I'll keep it brief as I arrived at about 9 at night, and left at 5 in the morning to catch an early flight (total stuff up with my itinerary - boo hiss). Benson was lovely - a funny kind of chap who in my tired state wasn't sure if he had an unusual sense of humour, was a bit... More

I found Costa Gama while looking for accommodation in Cochin on the web. My friend helped me with the arrangements with the owner Benson. He was helpful and courteous. As a single woman travelling alone in Kerela, I had to be careful. Benson arranged a taxi to pick me at the airport and he personally came with his wife too.... More
