We stayed in two rooms at Costa Gama. The first room was on the floor with the reception. The room was basic but clean. The fan was sufficient to keep the room cool and bugs were not an issue. The second room we stayed in (for only one night) was on the ground floor and was not nearly as nice.... More

We bunch of 3 guys, were planning to visit Kochi for this KMBiennale and our booking started 3 months ago. We spoke to Benson and he made all... More

Costa Gama is what it is - a backpackers home stay. Not the cleanest, not the most accessible, but liveable. The common area is very small and it can get very very hot in this area and the rooms, especially if you don't get air con. We booked a double deluxe with air con and ended up in a very... More

If you need a chauffeur for a few days for a trip to Munnar or Kumily in the Western Ghats, Benson the owner here will fix it for you--at a very reasonable price. This man has contacts! If you need a ricksha in a hurry to get you to the train station for a journey to Varkala or Aleppey, Benson... More

If you are looking for a budget place to stay that is comfy, clean, friendly and walking distance to main attractions then this is a great place to stay. Either for short or long stay. Fridge and kitchen facilities are good bonus and I would recommend to friends and return myself. Staff and family were lovely :)

I had a very enjoyable stay in Costa Gama Homestay. The rooms are really comfortable and at a good price, in a quiet area but still in walking distance to the most important sights of Fort Kochin. The homestay offers use of kitchen, so it is perfect for a longer stay. The owner Benson is very friendly and can give... More

A good guesthouse, nothing wrong with it in any regard. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. It has some facilities that backpackers would enjoy like a communal fridge and a shelf with a collection of good books. I don't really get why some people are so enthusiastic about the place. Don't get me wrong, the service it... More

If you've done any long-term budget traveling, you know how important it is to find those home-away-from-homes. Fortunately, when we got to Fort Cochin, we found Benson and Costa Gama. This guest house has a great location because it's beyond the pricey "tourist bubble", but still just a 10-minute walk to the Chinese fishing nets and the beach. We had... More

We stayed here for 2 nights after reading reviews. Benson gave us a warm welcome and the taxi he had reserved for us was very good and not too expensive. The room was basic but clean but there was no hot water which was disappointing. It was a little strange that no-one was around most of the time, but that's... More

I stayed here two summers ago, and meant to write up on here, ( sorry Benson!) Amazing hospitality, great location, comfortable, clean, Benson was great and helped my friend and I with maps for an afternoon deciding the next leg of our journey. He even took us for a spin on his motorbike! Highly recommended! :)
