Stayed here for 2 nights in February as an historical interlude between the backwaters and the beach. We arranged the stay direct with the hotel and the booking was handled quickly and efficiently. The booked a garden view room and were allocated the Tower bedroom which was spacious and probably the best in the hotel as it overlooks the garden... More

Right in the heart of old Cochin...walk out the front door and you have the Chinese nets and fish stalls. Yet inside this old colonial house are fantastic, historic rooms, air con and mod cons, but individually decorated and with great art and furniture. A unique boutique hotel. Downstairs is a fab restaurant, gardens, and pool, all right in the... More

We have just returned to the UK after our second stay at "Old Harbour" and our previous impressions of the hotel were more than confirmed. We stayed for 5 nights and this really is a home-from-home. The hotel has a relaxed, very friendly atmosphere but imposes the highest standards for all of it's services. The staff are all proactive and... More

Someone from another hotel we stayed in booked this for us and what a great surprise. We got the suite at the front on the pool side, huge room with great sunroom overlooking the park, good for watching the goings on below! Food quite western but good quality and value. Nice pool, lovely sitting under the giant mango tree. More

Our party of 9 booked and paid our deposit 6 months in advance and paid up, with rooms confirmed 6 weeks before travel. 10 days before we set off for Kerala, my agent informed me that the hotel could only give us 3 of the requested 5 rooms, as they had other people coming. We could have our money back,... More

We beleive it is important to hear both sides of the story and therefore we write our response. Yes, their travel agent made a booking for 5 rooms but did not pay up on the stipulated time which was two months prior to arrival and therefore the booking was cancelled. A week after the travel agent paid up and we... More

I cannot say enough to praise this really nice hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in December and had a beautiful big room with a little courtyard facing the pool and the garden to the back of the hotel. The breakfast is served in a pleasant dining room. We attended the Yoga classes on the rooftop in the morning. Jude,... More

We stayed here in January 2012 and I was extremely impressed. The room was gorgeous, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The swing in the room was a special treat! Although we investigated other places to eat in the evenings, for a change of scene, we ended up in the restaurant both nights as could find nothing better. Loved the candlelight... More

We stayed here in Dec 2011. The location is excellent right on the waterfront by the fishing nets. the hotel is absolutely charming and the service just first class. We just loved this place. At lunch in the restaurant I ordered giant prawns which was simply the best Indian meal I have ever eaten anywhere! Just delicious. In the evening... More

We booked the hotel very early on the year before for a stay after new year i.e. past the busy season. Kingfisher airlines had some problems and cancelled our flight from Madurai to Cochin plus I had seriously injured my back and was in severe pain during our trip. We rang ahead and told the staff we would like to... More

The location is perfect, the buildings are beautifully restored, the service is very friendly and quietly effective. The rooms are airy and spacious with very nice Indian furniture. The view of the harbour is fascinating. The garden is very nice. There is a pool at the back of the garden. And the restaurant is by far the best we have... More
