We really liked this hotel and the manager (TJ Godson) was very nice and accomodating. The rooms are huge, clean and cosy. It felt like a british colonial house but not sure if it was. The location is pretty central as well and there are lots of 400 year old temples/churches to see and housestays also.
I would recommend booking...

I have stayed in Kochi 6 times since 1975 when I first stayed in a run down hotel in the Fort Kochi area. Then Fort Kochi was almost deserted full of decaying buildings and a run down charm. Now of course it is the 'Hampstead' of India but it is a lovely comfortable place to stay. I hadn't been back...

Situated in a quiet street we found this hotel to be better than expected. Our room was clean and very adequate. The view wasn't great but we were not in it during the day so it didn't really matter. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and we also had a meal in the rooftop restaurant which was very...

Arches is located in the heart of Fort Cochin. It is a warm and cosy place. The places of interest in Fort Cochin are a stone's throw away from the hotel. We really liked our room very much, particularly the Indian sitting located close to the window. The interiors of the room were well done up. Room service was good...

Didn't know what to expect at The Arches and was very pleasantly surprised. Breakfasts were included and were hearty, with good choices, and served on the open terrace at the top of the hotel. Rooms are spacious and there are lounges with armchairs on each floor. This was great when I had visitors. The restaurant had excellent food and moderate...

We arrived here having had a really bad hotel experience in Varanasi & everything about he welcome & stay was perfect. We received a welcome garland & drink and our room was ready to check in straight away. Breakfast was delicious fresh fruit eggs of your choice gorgeous fresh juice & fresh coffee. We didn't use the restaurant in the...

I can't believe this hotel won a service award, since it was the appalling service that sank our whole experience. Our Air India flight south from Udaipur was delayed three hours, which caused us to miss the last flight from Mumbai to Kochi. We ended up stranded in Mumbai overnight, and the less said about that the better. In the...

I selected this hotel by seeing very good reviews in trip advisor. But honestly speaking, I was simply disappointed. A hotel cannot be rated very good by its room or clean toilet. Everything has to be counted. The attitude and behaviour of Mr. Rajnish in reception was at times rude and unpleasant. For a double room, they provided one toothbrush,...
