This hotel was great value and included an excellent breakfast. The owner is a quiet but kind woman who is very sweet. The room was very clean and quiet. The building itself is a heritage house and is very charming with a courtyard at the back. The male staff member was a little too persistent about tours etc for my... More

We arrived at the Chiramel Residency at 5am in the morning, after coming off an overnight train. We were tired, grumpy, and the taxi driver had no clue where it was! When we finally found it, were were shown to our room. The inside of the Residency was jaw dropping- lovely dark wood and elegant furnishings. Our hopes lifted, and... More

We stayed one night in Chiramel.I booked the room in advance and no payment was needed. We stayed in 2 rooms, both with extra beds for the children (not the folded ones but real comfortable single bed..)The place is very cosy, clean, quiet and friendly. I will certainly be there again next time and I recommend it highly. More

We stayed here for 7 nights recently, two adults and a 4yr old child. We paid 2500rps for a large, bright and clean room in the new block. It was a lovely room and 300rps cheaper than one in the old part, which we found to be a bit gloomy. Breakfast came with the room and was served in a... More

I stayed in the Chiramel Residency for a few days and would really recommend it. It is in one of the old Malabar-style houses that are dotted around Fort Cochin, very central, and offers a couple of different room types depending on your budget. I was unfortunately on a tight budget so couldn't go for the gorgeous double room but... More

We stayed for 2 nights at this homestay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very at home. This is their home after all. Breakfast was basic but good. You have to order it the evening before and you have to choose what you want. There are the basics such as juice, toast, eggs etc. The... More

lovely place, nice owners, great, large rooms, though the fact that they're open at the top can affect a night's sleep if your neighbour is ill (like when we stayed there). location is spot on, near some great restaurants & only a 5-10 minute walk from the action of Fort Cochin More

A beautiful place, very atmospheric. Big, beautiful bedrooms with small hide outs and clean! Family run, VERY friendly and helpfull. Onlyu the mosquitoes had no trouble finding us, and we were not allowed to hang mosquitoe-nets. Other than that, perfect! More

My sister-in-law and I stayed about ten days in Chiramel homestay. My first time in India, hers fourth. We chose the room with AC, but often we only used the fan because that was less cold. The bathingroom is different from the ones in my country (Netherlands), so everything got wet after showering. But the water was warm/hot as promised.... More

The Chiramel Residency offered a moderately-priced, comfortable stay in Kochi. We booked ahead and paid online, which worked out all right (they had our reservation, and there were no problems with the room), but everything else we had to pay for in cash, which became problematic toward the end of the trip with theatre tickets, transportation, and other activities included....
