Went travelling around South India in November 2011, and booked 3 nights at Prem's Homestay at last minute. Cynthia was very helpful with excellent communication even before arrival. Cynthia's family are very warm and welcoming, breakfast was tasty too. Kochi is very peaceful with all links at very short walking distance. I would definitely come back to Prem's when ever... More

We stayed at Prem's Homestay twice. First for two nights and then Celia even managed to get us another room on our way back even though it was high season. Celia and her family are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, the House looks great, breakfast was tasty, the house is located within walkable distance of all major sights... More

I had a pleasant stay at Prem's overall. Cinthia and her father were very helpful and welcoming. At some point I had a toothache and Mr Prem brought me to the dentist. The Kathakali Cultural Centre is also within walking distance of the homestay, and generally to Fort Cochin main attractions.

We have just got back from a wonderful week staying at Prems Homestay in the Fort Cochin area of Cochin, Kerala. The first impressions were great as we were greeted by Mr Prem and his daughters into their family home and were shown to our room without delay. The house is on three stories and is quite a large bed... More

We booked the Homestay direct after finding it on the internet. Cynthia could not have done more to help us before and during our stay. Room was basic but clean with small balcony, bath and fan for 800 Rupees per night. There is a TV room with cable and she has just installed WIFI. Many places to eat nearby, Taj... More

We ended up at Prem's after we could not get a booking for the first 2 nights at Ooies homestay ( a popular homestay that is capitalising on a positive review it had in a travel guide publised in the UK). We were first concerned that there was no hot water for the showers in the rooms that was available... More

It is one of the few cheap home stay close to Fort Kochi. It is neat and clean. The caretaker Cyntia is also cheerful and a good person. Rooms are spacious. Only if the mattress were a little better ... but are not that too bad. There are mosquito repellent liquidators in each room. So overall a good place.

My Son and I were travelling from Cochin down to the very south tip of India and this was our first stop in Cochin. We had requested homestays as well as Hotels and this was our first stop. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were invited into their house and ate breakfast in their dining... More

Very clean and comfortable. A bragin at Rs 700 for a room. Breakfast extra, on request. Very central and just no more than 200m to the Kathkalli play each evening at the old theatre. Best value stay during our say in southern India. Our hostess, Cynthia, is lovely.
